Bleeding Through NINE

Bleeding Through- "NINE" Album Review

Bleeding Through returns with their ninth studio album, "Nine." The album is a flawless illustration of their 25+ years of experience, bringing a perfect blend of Metal for a variety of fans new and old in an industry so divided by sub-genres. We can hear influences of old-school metal and a light touch of thrash such as Devildriver and Fear Factory meshed beautifully into the album, along with some newer blackened metalcore elements such as She Must Burn and Make Them Suffer that are heavily abundant in the album as well as some new deathcore breakdowns that prove Bleeding Through not only still got it but never lost their touch.

The album starts off strong with "Gallows" a blackened Metalcore track that has you hooked in with haunting orchestra keys and beefy riffs.

The album is chockful of great tracks such as "Our Brand Is Chaos" giving us headbanging blackened deathcore with a slight nostalgic vibe of that 2008 Winds Of Plague we know and love. My favorite track "Dead But So Alive" is deeply dark and personal in not only its riffs and thrash solos but the lyrics hit home for those struggling with mental health.

The album has some great collabs including Canada's own Hardcore legends Comeback Kid in the track "I Am Resistance", God Forbid in the Track "Lost In Isolation", and Shadows Fall in "War Time".

This album has some great gym jams such as the stank face-making tracks " Hail Destruction" and "Path To Our Disease" making it one of those albums you can toss on and lift weights to.

The album is a must-listen that fills the gaps between newer core-inspired metal and old-school metal while giving it both a fresh yet familiar sound.
